- Catherine Moffat
“I love the process of drawing, and work directly from life. In most of my paintings I am striving for a sense of stillness rather than action. I lean toward sheltered spaces that delight the eye and soothe the spirit. I believe it is essential to continually push out your own boundaries to learn and grow, and equally important to listen carefully to your instinct; to create images that speak with your own voice.”
Since Cathy began painting professionally in 1978, she has held numerous solo and group exhibitions and has participated in invitational events and charity benefits across Canada. Her work has received awards in national and regional juried exhibitions and can be found in private and corporate collections worldwide.
