Joyce Kamikura  N.W.S, S.F.C.A.

Joyce Kamikura is a Signature Member of the National Watercolour Society (U.S.A) and a Senior Signature Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. Her vibrant and evocative works have been featured in books and magazines such as Painting Composition, Painting Colour, American Artists, Art Impressions and International Artists.

Born in British Columbia and raised in Japan, Joyce obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree from U.B.C prior to studying art at Kwantlen and Langara colleges. Over time, Joyce’s paintings have evolved into a personal response to her own environment. Her ideas are not whole but rather fragments of what fascinates her and are seed from which her works begin to develop. Joyce works in oil and water-based medium including watercolour, mixed media, collage and acrylic to create images which are expressive and delicate, her artwork reflecting the beauty of the world around us.
